Introduction to Assets

Assets are a straightforward way to include reference data such as genome databases, primer files, or similar that are required by your workflow. You can upload an Asset either via the One Codex web application or our API and command line interface.

Once you've uploaded an asset, you can select it when defining your workflow so that it is automatically injected into the working directory when you run the workflow.

Assets are immutable once uploaded and can be re-used across workflows. That means the reproducibility of your pipeline is ensured, and you don't need to worry about the availability of external resources when you run your workflow on One Codex.
